Studying the Impact of Artificial Intelligence in the Judicial System

چکیده :
One of the problems of the judicial system in the world, and especially in our beloved country of Iran, is the delay of proceedings; which may lead to unfortunate consequences such as: failure to achieve a fair trial, loss of people's trust in the judiciary, etc. In order to resolve this issue, the Iranian legislator has amended ineffective laws and regulations several times and has also adopted new laws in some cases, some of which have themselves caused delays in proceedings due to the lack of specialized review by the great doctrine of law. In addition to the Islamic Consultative Assembly, the judiciary, as the embodiment and responsible for establishing justice, has also tried to resolve this problem. Measures such as the formation of dispute resolution councils, peace courts, the compilation of documents on the transformation and excellence of the judiciary, etc. can be considered as measures taken by this great institution of the country to eliminate the delay in proceedings. However, in today's society, where, according to Jeffrey Hinton (the father of artificial intelligence), artificial intelligence can surpass natural human intelligence in the next 30 to 50 years, to what extent can measures such as the formation of new courts or the compilation of less efficient documents related to the delay in proceedings prevent this problem? Isn't it time that, in line with the new world, our judicial system also moves towards emerging tools such as artificial intelligence? The present study, which was developed using the descriptive analytical research method and using library tools, has been developed in order to answer these questions and try to examine the role of artificial intelligence and its possible function on the Iranian judicial system.
