Towards Automated Self-Aware System Design: Process-Based Models to MAPE-K Architecture

چکیده :
We present a systematic design flow to connect abstract behavioral models of self-aware cyber-physical systems to their executable realization. We use an Abstract Process-based Self-aware Model (APSA) and concretely capture it as a Scenario-Aware Dataflow (SADF) model and guarantee timing and resource bounds. The functional components of APSA are then systematically mapped to the roles of the MAPE-K reference architecture and implemented using the MAPE Specification Language (MSL), which automatically generates executable Abstract State Machines (ASMs). A smart-home comfort-control case study demonstrates that the resulting self-adaptive system remains fully traceable to its high-level behavioral model.
